Dalry is a most attractive and popular traditional Scottish village with superb views across the upper valley of the River Ken. It is located on the Southern Upland Way, Scotland's 212 mile coast to coast long distance footpath and is within easy access of the Galloway Hills and the Galloway Forest Park. This is an ideal base for hill walking, fishing, bird watching, sightseeing or one of the many country pursuits available locally.

There are two village shops, two hotels, a local garage, a post office.

Dalry is situated just 16 miles north of a thriving market town, also Scotland's Food Town, Castle Douglas.

Clachan Cottage is only 31 miles south of the seaside town of Ayr and within 30 minutes drive to many local picturesque villages, attractions for the kids and many activities to keep everyone amused.

Dumfries and Galloway is a unique area with varied and diverse countryside from harbour villages to Grouse moors which makes the area appeal to visitors, it is often referred to Scotland in miniature.
