Clachan cottage is ideally situated to enjoy an abundance of walking from local riverside walks and village strolls to Scotland's 212 coast to coast long distance route, the Southern Upland Way, which passes directly through the centre of Dalry. So whether you wish to stroll down the river bank or tackle an 18 mile section of the Southern Upland Way or indeed take on the challenge of the Merrick or the Rhinns of Kells Dalry the Clachan Cottage a an ideal central location.

Dalry is one of four villages that make up the Glenkens. New Galloway, Balmaclellan and Carsphairn are all within a short distance of Dalry. The Glenkens is quickly becoming a popular destination for walkers both local and from throughout the UK and is central to a wide range of walks that suite all abilities.
